First off, your purchasing this because your ford started leaking, lucky for you, you can spare a few days while it gets delivered. For me, the part fit perfectly on my 02 ford escape 4 cylinder engine. I too was able to wait a few days for it to be delivered which was much better than paying 3 times the cost from the dealer. 3 easy bolts removed the old one, and this one bolted right in place and no more leaks. hopefully I'll never have to replace it again. It is made out of the same material as the old one, it does have the O-ring with it that seals between this and the engine block, which is what got destroyed on my old piece and started leaking. what more can be said, its a direct replacement for the part I needed at 1/3 of the dealer cost, only downside is that you have to wait for it to be shipped, which if you can afford it and your handy with a wrench then its a no-brainier.
